IG Group, a leader in electronic trading, in collaboration with Aichi International Arena Company, Ltd., and AEG, has announced a landmark 10-year naming rights partnership for a new 17,000-seat arena currently under construction in Nagoya, Japan. This partnership represents one of the largest naming rights agreements in Japan and the Asia Pacific region, highlighting the significance of this venture in the global entertainment and sports landscape.
Scheduled to open its doors in 2025, the IG Arena is set to become a premier entertainment facility in Japan, designed to host a diverse array of events, including sports, music, and family-oriented activities. Its strategic location in the heart of Nagoya positions the arena as a future cultural icon, promising to revolutionize the live entertainment experience with state-of-the-art infrastructure and technologies.
The arena will also play a pivotal role as a venue for the 2026 Asian Games and Asian Para Games, further elevating its profile on the international stage. The project is supported by a consortium including Maeda Corporation, NTT Docomo, Anschutz Sports Holdings (AEG), Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing, Tokyu Corporation, Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting, and the Development Bank of Japan, with architectural design by Kengo Kuma & Associates.
