NFT INT LLC, the company capitalizing on the likeness of former President Donald Trump for its non-fungible token (NFT) collections, has announced the inscription of bonus Bitcoin Ordinals for buyers of the “Mugshot Edition” NFTs. The announcement was made this Friday via a post to X.
In a special offer, the company declared that buyers of 47 “Mugshot Edition” NFTs, priced at $99 each, would not only enjoy dinner with Trump but also receive a physical trading card embedded with a piece of his suit from the time of his well-known police mugshot last August. Those who purchased 100 NFTs from the collection were promised a unique Trump Bitcoin Ordinal.
According to NFT INT LLC, all Trump Bitcoin Ordinals are inscribed using a method they refer to as ‘parent-child on alpha rare Satoshis’, which involves the first satoshi of every Bitcoin.
Despite a surge in trading volume following the first edition’s launch in late 2022, the demand for Trump NFTs has seen a decline. NFT INT LLC has clarified on its website that while they operate under a paid license from CIC Digital LLC to use Trump’s name and image, they are not directly affiliated with Donald Trump, The Trump Organization, or their principals.
CIC Digital LLC, with the former president previously at its helm as manager, president, secretary, and treasurer, could terminate or revoke this licensing arrangement at any time, as disclosed by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.
