The complaint was posted on Trustpilot on Sept. 4 by a user identified as Tendekai Maposa. The reviewer gave FreshForex a one-star rating and said they had deposited through crypto, traded during NFP and made more than $800 in profit. According to the complaint, the withdrawal function subsequently displayed a message indicating that withdrawal of funds was unavailable. The reviewer also referenced Riston Capital alongside FreshForex.
The allegation has not been independently verified, and the review does not provide an account number, screenshots, transaction records or details showing why the withdrawal function became unavailable. It is therefore not possible to establish from the complaint alone whether the restriction resulted from a broker decision, an account-specific compliance review, payment-method restrictions or another issue.
The timing of the complaint is nevertheless notable because NFP releases can produce sharp moves across currencies, indices and other financial markets. Nonfarm payrolls measure changes in US employment outside several categories, making the monthly report one of the most closely watched pieces of US economic data for traders. Significant deviations from market expectations can trigger rapid changes in interest-rate expectations and currency prices.
FreshForex’s own published withdrawal procedures provide several reasons why an individual withdrawal could be restricted or rejected. The broker says clients generally need to withdraw through the same payment method used for their deposit, subject to the applicable conditions. It also says withdrawal requests can take up to five business days to be processed by the company before funds are transferred through the relevant payment system.
The broker further states that profit withdrawals may be refused for violations of its Client Agreement or where an account is considered to have been used for money laundering or other prohibited activity. FreshForex maintains separate documentation covering its Client Agreement, non-trading operations and trading rules.
That means the customer’s description of an unavailable withdrawal button does not, by itself, demonstrate that FreshForex withheld legitimate trading profits. There is no public explanation from the company attached to the Sept. 4 review at the time of writing.
The complaint also sits alongside evidence of other recent customer experiences that point in different directions.
Two verified Trustpilot users posted five-star reviews on Sept. 1. One described deposits and withdrawals as seamless, while another praised FreshForex and specifically mentioned its bonus programs. FreshForex responded to both reviews.
At the same time, there have been other negative withdrawal-related complaints. A verified customer posting in August alleged long withdrawal delays and said additional verification had been requested. FreshForex responded that the customer had been asked for additional payment-method verification under its AML and KYC procedures and said the funds were transferred after the documents were verified.
FreshForex currently advertises that 92% of profit-withdrawal requests are processed within 15 minutes, although its FAQ separately says employees can take up to five business days to process a withdrawal order.
The available evidence therefore points to an individual customer allegation rather than evidence of a broader withdrawal outage.
The NFP Detail Makes the Complaint Worth Watching
The most interesting part of the complaint is not necessarily the $800 profit. It is the combination of crypto funding, news-event trading and an alleged withdrawal restriction immediately afterward.
Each element creates a different layer of risk for a broker.
Crypto deposits can create additional compliance considerations because funds can move across wallets and jurisdictions before reaching a trading account. News-event trading, meanwhile, can generate unusually fast profits and losses during periods of extreme volatility. Neither activity is inherently improper, but both can trigger closer scrutiny depending on a broker’s rules, liquidity arrangements and compliance procedures.
That makes the sequence described by the customer potentially significant — but only if it can be corroborated.
There is currently no evidence establishing that FreshForex restricted the withdrawal because the customer profited from NFP trading. The review simply describes the sequence from the customer’s perspective. It also does not say whether the customer was asked for documents, whether the account was suspended, whether the deposited funds remained accessible or whether the restriction was eventually removed.
Those missing details are crucial.
If FreshForex later explains that the account entered a routine AML or payment-method review, the story would look very different from a case in which a profitable customer was prevented from withdrawing without a documented contractual reason.
The mention of Riston Capital is another detail worth clarifying rather than treating as evidence of a connection. The reviewer names the two companies together, but the complaint itself does not explain the relationship or why Riston Capital was mentioned. That should be independently established before drawing conclusions about common ownership, operations or responsibility.
There is also an important counterweight in the current Trustpilot record. FreshForex has recent verified positive reviews specifically mentioning successful withdrawals, while the company publicly says most profit-withdrawal requests are processed quickly. At the same time, the platform has accumulated other complaints involving withdrawals and verification.
The result is a story worth monitoring rather than a conclusion about misconduct.
The next meaningful development would be a response from FreshForex or additional documentation from the customer. A screenshot showing the unavailable-withdrawal message, an explanation from support, the applicable account terms or evidence that the restriction was lifted would materially change the picture.
For now, the strongest characterization is straightforward: a verified customer says FreshForex disabled withdrawals after an $800-plus NFP trading profit, but the allegation remains unverified and the available reviews do not establish a wider withdrawal problem.
